No checklist is universal. I recommend this process for standard commercial receiving situations. If you're dealing with custom ventilation, continuous-duty appliances, or building management system integration, you'll need to extend it. That said, even an extended inspection starts with the same basics: confirm the model, test the safety features, and don't assume the box is telling the truth.
